With mother’s day just past, what is essentially a commercial thing in my opinion doesn’t do all that mothers do justice.

Mom, I don’t thank you enough for all that you have done for me.  You have not only taken care of me, supported me and loved me unconditionally, but you are my best and closest friend.  You have always been so selfless and giving, and while I often take this for granted I want you to know I am forever greatful and in awe of your kindness.  Really I aspire to be the kind of person you are, though it leaves big shoes to fill.

I know you want the best for me, and I truly want the best for you.  You do so much and ask for nothing in return, you deserve the world.  Things haven’t always been easy, but I know that we are a great team and will always stick together.  I love you so much.

Honestly, I haven’t had all that much to write about recently.. just the same old same old.

The only thing that’s even worth mentioning is I’m going to start an online portfolio (on a domain just for that).  The domain is on order now, wish it would hurry up.  But while I’m waiting I’m attempting to put together a design for it.  It’ll be nice to have a real portfolio.

I should really look at job listings.. god I need one.  I did scan them quickly the other day and there wasn’t anything exciting.  Not that they’re supposed to be exciting or anything, I’m just surprised at the slim pickins.

I’m going to clean my room, and maybe after that I’ll get together something worth blogging about.

I’m writing this at nearly midnight, though counting the time change my body feels it’s 3 in the morning? Ugh, either way I’m very tired and need to catch up on lots of sleep. But I promised myself I’d update and detail my trip.

As I mentioned, I left very early Tuesday morning. Caught a train downtown that took us into downtown Toronto, where our train was leaving. We had one very large and heavy suitcase each, plus about 3 manageable but a burden nonetheless bags/backpacks we were carrying on. That made for a bit of struggle boarding our main train in Toronto. We were one of the last on board in Toronto, which I just knew would happen. Initially it appeared me and my mom couldn’t even sit together, but thankfully some very nice people moved so we could.

And it’s not too exciting from there, it was 4 days full of lovely scenery and contained lots of card games, and magazines. I took.. 621 pictures total from start to finish. I didn’t know a 2 gigabyte memory card could even hold that O_O It was a nice journey except for the pain of sleeping in a chair. But it makes my bed here soo appreciated.

So yeah, I’m here on the west coast. I’ve basically unpacked without too much work, but now I need to get back on track with school and all that. But before that, I need to sleeeeeep, so much.

Oh and, I didn’t do any math. :worried:

I’ll say au revior (apparently I don’t like to say goodbye in English) as I leave tomorrow, verrrry early in the morning.

I have mixed feelings of course about leaving, I will miss my grandparents, though I suppose I’ll see them again soon.  I hate to say it but at their age you never know what will happen.

I was thinking I’d keep a sort of travel diary and write each day what happens, and then post that to my blog, but um.. I don’t have a notebook? If I come across one today I’ll bring it along.  I barely write anything anymore, just type.. I had to write a paragraph yesterday and my hand was cramping so bad! So pathetic Either way I’ll describe it in more detail once I arrive home in BC.  I don’t want to divulge too much now.

Oh, and there’ll be pictures!

Okay, I should go.. I still have about a million things to do, last minute kind of things.. like charging the ipod, making sure my camera batteries are charged, and cramming even more clothes into my stuffed suitcase.

Oh yeah, I brought along some math to do, at least that’s the plan.  I’d like to think I’ll work on it, but you know how that goes.

In the meantime.. why doesn’t anyone who reads this leave a comment?  I know a least a few people do, cmon people.  I know my blog isn’t very interesting now, but what the hell.  I have big plans for this thing.  And you can say you were there in the early days.  Haha, I’m so kidding but still, leave a NICE comment.

I obviously get sidetracked easily, because for the last few days instead of actually blogging, I’ve been setting up this new layout!  I was very happy with my original one, but I came across this one just by chance, and I loved it SO much I couldn’t resist using it! I love cherry blossoms a lot so I immediately loved it.  I think it’s so pretty.  I’ll probably go back to my old layout because it’s a great standard layout, but this one is Spring/summerlike so it’s great for now!

Not that it has really been particularly nice out.  It’s sunny out today, not very warm but yesterday it was cold, dreary and it rained all day, at some parts very strongly and with wind.  Practically a storm!   Well I haven’t done much today, I finally got Photoshop so I’ve finding some great brushes to use that I haven’t been able to use until now (I only had Paintshop Pro).  Hopefully having Photoshop will help me come up with a good design to use in a layout.  I really want to make my own layout totally but I’m no expert so it will take a while.  But one day!

I’ve got to make myself work on an art assignment.  Not that it’s even artistic..  I guess it’s more of a media/commercial focused art course and in this section it’s focusing on “new media” (ie: the internet, Omgz!)  Can’t say I’m too interested..

I’ve basically finished packing which is a relief.  I’ve crammed so much clothes into one average sized suitcase, and I’d like to squeeze in a few more :>  If that’s scientifically possible.
