Hard drive woes

I’m sure many other shutterbugs along with me have done a double take when they see just how much space photos take up on the hard drive. I’ve often cringed when uploading large amounts of photos to my computer via my camera’s memory card. My camera is 8 megapixels, and I usually shoot at full resolution just in case I need to do any large crops or the like. 8 megapixel photos are easily 1.8 megabytes in size -each. Multiply that by hundreds of photos and my hard drive is majorly full!

Needless to say, I’d love to upgrade my hard drive’s storage capacity to at a minimum 500 GB. It’s crazy that now a days 1 TB external hard drives are in the low hundreds - maybe I’ll get one of these to store all my photos!
