Technically challengedPosted on September 23rd, 2008 @ 9:36 pm
Forgive my ignorance, really, but what is an HDMI switch? I know it has something to do with high definition of course, HD being a big thing in recent years. Don’t shake your heads at me quite yet, I still have a very small, modest television and I hardly watch it anyway, so I’m not really that knowledgeable about anything high definition, though the tech specifications of cameras? I know probably a little too much. I’d love to research exactly what these are, but my course load has been very heavy recently, and time is very limited.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

BootyliciousPosted on September 19th, 2008 @ 2:38 pm
To me, knee high boots really say “Autumn” and are the perfect way to ring in the season, by you know, diversifying your shoe portfolio.
I recently did this, and can’t wait to put them to good use, especially since now the weather is turning colder.
The boots I got?
Dollhouse Loomy Boot (Black)

Haha, they look like something I totally WOULDN’T wear, but surprisingly I love them. In addition to classic black, they come in brown and plum. I’m also going to feature some other great boots.
Steve Madden Tianna Boot (Blue)

I LOVE these boots. They come in other more neutral colours, but I think this electric blue is so perfect for the type of boot, nothing else will do.
Allison Floral Rain Boots

I had to include rain boots, because in the west, Fall (and most of winter) is filled with grey, overcast, rainy days that seem to go on forever! I love this boot’s adorable, handdrawn look and pretty colours. It would definitely brighten up a rainy day!
What boots are you breaking out for Fall?
P.S, if you’re interested in anything featured here, they can be found on Zappos.com or Amazon.com, along with another bazillion to die for shoes. I wish Amazon.com shipped to Canada.

Beads galorePosted on September 19th, 2008 @ 2:37 pm
When I was younger, I used to boast quite the selection of beads. I kept all of them in a big plastic container, and whenever I wanted to make a necklace or bracelet, that came out. My favourite beads still are the transparent glitter ones. Ah, the good old days. I still like jewelry making, though I have devoted virtually no time for it for many years. Maybe soon I’ll take it up again, but this time using higher quality beads.
Beads of Cambay is an online supplier of discounted wholesale beads. They sell many different types of beads, including freshwater pearls and even wholesale gemstone beads including sapphire, ruby and emerald. Now that’s jewelry making of a little higher caliber then I’m used to. These precious gem beads are way out of my range, but I love pearl necklaces, and it would be really cool to wear one and know you’ve made it yourself.
Real pearls really are stunning.. for now I’ll have to settle with the, erm, not so genuine kind. Except when I try on my grandmother’s jewelry
If you make your own jewelry, it might be worth to check out wholesale stores and see what you could save.
