It seems like there is an endless amount of products out there dedicated to helping you “look good”. This includes cosmetics, moisturizers, acne treatment, hair products and a million other things I have probably forgotten. It’s nice to have so many options but buying all these products can quickly add up. I guess the secret is to stock up on a few tried and true products, preferably when they’re on sale!

Exercise

The current kind of weather we’re having right now makes me feel lazy and pretty tired, so I’m not exactly running on atreadmill religiously Oh well.. walking is exercise in active transportation form, better something than nothing I always say! But seriously, I think swimming is the best physical activity for Summer, because you stay cool while still working out! Not to mention it’s fun!

Insurance

Well, I know insurance is an exciting topic for everyone. Haha, sarcasm aside, everyone wants to get the best insurance rates. I mean, if there was a way to save money while getting crucial protection such as insurance, wouldn’t you take advantage of it? I’m not too knowledgeable about all the different kinds of insurance or what rates are fair, but I know I definitely want to get the best deal possible.

Sports

What kind of sports do you like to play or watch? Here, they are already talking about the upcoming hockey season. I guess over in Europe, Soccer (or football as they call it) is the main sport. In America, I guess you’d want New York Yankees tickets if you were a baseball fan. Myself, I’m not too big on any one sport though they can all be fun to watch, occassionally.

Currently we’re in a bought of not so great weather. It’s warm out, noticeably humid, but the sun is missing in action! It was raining early and is threatening to rain more, along with some thunder and lightening forecast for later. Oh well, what can you do? I’ll make the most of it by catching up with some mundane tasks around house, thankfully none involve a barcode scanner!

Summer cleaning

I’ve bypassed the spring cleaning as usual this year but recently I’ve gotten around to doing some cleaning and gardening. I guess since the official first day of Summer was yesterday, I can call it summer cleaning! It seems like around the house always could use cleaning, and outside too. Bring out the pressure washers!

Well, it’s getting late so I’m going to call it a night.

Summer workouts

Do you find it easier or harder to find the time and effort to work out once it’s Summer? For me, it’s definitely easier to find that motivation needed! I guess because the sun is shining and the warmer weather gives you more energy. Also the beach and pool is a good motivational tool! The only problem is there never seems to be enough time in a day ! Anyway, no diet pill for me!

Rain, rain

Well, I’m currently sitting here and listening to the sound of rain falling outside. It had to rain sooner or later! In fact, the weather has been really mild and even sort of cool recently. I’m just bracing for the heat and humidity soon enough though!

This less than summery weather kind of has me sticking inside more often. It’s good because I can catch up on some work, but also leads to procrastinating because I want to shop more often– custom software anyone?

With that said, I better get back to work.

I feel morally obligated as a member of the blogosphere to warn about another side effect of Summer: sun exposure!

I know a lot of people like to soak up the sun on the beach, but if you do this sunscreen is a must! Without proper precautions, you’re exposing yourself to harmful UV rays which can lead to skin damage and cancer.

So, please, you don’t want to find yourself having to get in touch with Mesothelioma lawyers! Okay, wrong cancer but you see what I mean. Be wise!

Summer plans

So what are everybody’s plans for Summer?

Mine are just taking it easy, maybe some fun day trips and of course beach time!

I’m also planning to use my free time to maybe get in the gym (provided it’s air conditioned!) and get in shape for summer. I’m definitely not planning to get to into it like counting calories or using an appetite suppressant!
