Today I’ve been laying low at home and catching up on some schoolwork.  I’ve knocked two math assignmnts out of the way today, so that just leaves studying for the unit test.  If you remember, it took me forever to write and review a study guide of the last test I did, so I know what I’m in for.  I wish the tests didn’t cover so much material, I’d even prefer several smaller tests over 3 huge ones.  Oh well.  Guess I better get going on it if I want to take the test before 2020. 

I’m also just starting the notes of a history assignment that seems quite involved regarding immigration.   Honestly, history reports are the most difficult assignments of all because not only do I have to research the topic, but I have to compose it and then list the bibliography.  It’s like a history and english lesson in one.

Ugh, yeah, school isn’t so exciting I know, I know.

Well, the good news is I got the results of my math exam, 90%! Not bad, eh?

Speaking of eh, it was Canada day the other day.  There’s always loads of people downtown and fireworks at the harbour in the evening.  So I went and that was a good time.

Uh, things are normal as usual.  I have a couple days off before I have to work again, so I really need to focus on school, as usual!  It’s crazy it’s already July.  I’ve said it before but time does fly.

And wow, after writing the above paragraph it just hit me: It’s July! My layout is for June 2008. I hate to do it but I might just have to carry this one over to July with a few tweaks. My time right now is at an absolute premium, and you guys would hate for my grades to suffer, right? I’ll get on the new layout warpath ASAP, though!

The weather has cooled down.  I knew that hot, sunny weather was too good to stick around.  It’s overcast today, and it actually thundered and lighteninged (spelling?) last night, which is a very rare occurance around here!  Oh well, at least it’s not grossly hot at nightime, which I hate!

Ah, I’ve been neglecting this site, but not by choice, honest!

Things just come up that take time, and before I know it, it’s 10:30 PM, 11 and then dangerously close to midnight and I want to just go to bed! LOL yeah, I do have old person qualities I guess. 

I’ve finally finished my math study guide, and now it’s crunch time.  Well I’ve never really been a crammer in studying, I will always choose sleep over a better grade, hahah, but I’ve got to work through some questions similar to the ones that will be on the exam.  The exam apparently will take 2 hours.

The most exciting thing I can report.. I got paid! :D  YAY!  It was only for one week (about 16 hours) because I came in there in the middle of the pay period, but yay, money all the same!  I’m hoping to go shopping soon, though I will be saving most of it.

Uh, nothing’s coming up, I’m working at the end of this week, hopefully getting my hair cut by this weekend, math exam Monday, Canada day gets celebrated on the 1st of July, and that’s about all I know of at this point, and hopefully it will stay that way, because I’m busy enough with just that! :q

Okay, I’ll go study for a bit.

Well, I got a job!

Haha, it was honestly the most painless thing ever, due to the apparent “labour shortage” employers are desperate and will hire even those who are students and don’t have much work experience such as myself.  The guy interviewing me didn’t even care about references, even when I offered him the contact information of my academic advisor. 

The job is inventory management or whatever you care to call it.  I will be scanning retail store’s stuff.  It’s a different location every time, which is something new, can’t decide whether that’ll be good or not so good.  But whatever, it’s a job, and it pays REALLY well! 

I’m working at 6 this evening at a store in a mall, and then I have 2 shifts during the weekdays that start at 7 AM. Eep.  I said no more than 20 hours a week though so I’ll still have plenty of off time.  I really have to finish that math study guide I mentioned, I have been writing a few review pages a day but there’s so much to cover I need to pick up the pace.  I also have to do an art assignment, which is creating a website and write an essay for English (I wanted to get started on next year’s English early.)  On top of school stuff, I have to study the driver’s manual in order to pass a test to get my learner’s license.  A little overwhelming all of it, haha but I’ll get it all done somehow..

Yup, all work and no fun for me.  I don’t know, I just don’t have any interest in, how do you kids say, “partying”? Hahaha.  It’s just not me.  And I’m not exactly invited to anything (not that you really have to be )

New layout tomorrow, as promised!

I feel so distracted, overwhelmed and unfocused.  I swear, there are not enough hours in the day.  I have so much I have to do, and so much I want to do and I can’t seem to find time to get to it all, let alone accomplish one thing.  I’m horrible with the Internet in that, I pinball from one project to the next, not accomplishing a thing but going off on a new tangent every 10 minutes.  I should really try to focus more :C but there’s just so many crazy ideas I have, lol.

I also need to really sit down and write out a full study guide for my math.  I just turned in the last assignment before the huge test and have a lot to cover..  I wrote out 4 double sided sheets worth yesterday and only scratched the surface!

One good thing is the weather has been nice recently.  Yesterday it was HOT and very sunny so I hung out outside for a while working on the math.  My face actually got burnt a bit but god forbid I actually get a tan or anything, haha.  I only just burn it seems.  I got a slurpee today and it tasted metallic.  Pretty disgusting really.. ruined slurpees for me.

Ah, randomness.. oh yeah, forgot to mention, a summer job may be in the works for me.  I did apply for something, not expecting a reply but I did get an email requesting my phone number because they would be “interested in speaking with me” so we’ll see.. I guess that’s promising?  I’m such a dork for leaving out my phone number in the first place, I really hate talking on the phone but I’m an email and text fiend.  Oh well, I guess I can’t communicatez via internetz for my whole life, hahaha.

It’ll all unfold I guess.  I’m going to eat Dinner shortly and then make myself get down to math.
