Shoes, shoes, shoes!
Posted on October 5th, 2008 @ 11:51 am

Today is all about shoes (sorry, I’m on a shoe kick!), so I thought would feature a variety of very dfferent, but very awesome shoes!

Guess “Carrie” pump

I love this type of high heel, and the snake skin texture.  Unfortunately, it can’t be seen much but I love the gold inside!

MIA Gigi MaryJane pump

I LOVE Maryjanes, and the added height of this one makes it even better in my opinion.

Steve Madden Kobraa Ballerina Flat

Flats are always a necessity, and I’m a sucker for anything metallic.

What do you think of the shoes featured?

Bootylicious

To me, knee high boots really say “Autumn” and are the perfect way to ring in the season, by you know, diversifying your shoe portfolio. ;)   I recently did this, and can’t wait to put them to good use, especially since now the weather is turning colder.

The boots I got?

Dollhouse Loomy Boot (Black)

Haha, they look like something I totally WOULDN’T wear, but surprisingly I love them.  In addition to classic black, they come in brown and plum. I’m also going to feature some other great boots.

Steve Madden Tianna Boot (Blue)

I LOVE these boots.  They come in other more neutral colours, but I think this electric blue is so perfect for the type of boot, nothing else will do.

Allison Floral Rain Boots

I had to include rain boots, because in the west, Fall (and most of winter) is filled with grey, overcast, rainy days that seem to go on forever!  I love this boot’s adorable, handdrawn look and pretty colours.  It would definitely brighten up a rainy day!

What boots are you breaking out for Fall?

P.S, if you’re interested in anything featured here, they can be found on Zappos.com or Amazon.com, along with another bazillion to die for shoes.  I wish Amazon.com shipped to Canada. :(

Gotta love Betsey
Posted on September 12th, 2008 @ 2:53 pm

Betsey Johnson is one of my, if not all time favourite designer.  I love her fashion line and it’s great colour and attitude.  No one can say it’s dull, that’s for sure! It’s understandable but unfortunate that the clothes are on the pricier side or I’m pretty sure my whole wardrobe would be by her! I thought I would feature some stuff from Betsey’s line:

Battenburg Strapless Babydoll Dress

I want to reach through my computer screen and grab this dress.  It is by far the cutest dress I have ever seen.  I love the black lacy detail and the pink bow is such a nice touch.  I’m in love.

Wild Leopard Cardigan

This cardigan is three of my utmost loves in one package: (Mini sweaters + Leopard Print + Pink = *^) ).  I love the jeweled buttons too.

Brenna Wedges

I know we’re going into cold weather, but these are so cute!

Snow Leopard Sunglasses

Need I say more?

Lady Jungle Satchel

I had to include a handbag seeing how bag crazy I am. :D  This bag is way over the top just like her, and maybe not so practical, but who said it was about practicality?

Do you like the Betsey Johnson line?  Have any other lines to recommend?

Colours
Posted on September 9th, 2008 @ 11:54 am

So a few days a dyed my hair red as I mentioned.  This isn’t the first time I’ve died my hair, more like the 5th or so.   First it was blonde highlights, then red (hint: red over blonde = orange!) then in attempts to get back to a more natural colour, dark brown.  I later got it died professionally brown to even out the colour, then later jet black(!), then I lifted the black, let my natural colour come back in, and now the most recent red.  I know, that sounds very involved, and dying your hair is in a lot of ways a big pain!  But I really love red hair, so I’m satisfied (for now) ;)

What’s your hair dying history?  Do you hit the bottle or leave it all natural?

Today’s FFF feature is Houndstooth! I lovelovelove houndstooth, especially on coats. I’ve seen it around a lot recently, on scarfs, hats, sweaters, coats and even shoes. It’s a really distinguishable print and is a classic. Here’s a look at some clothing/accessories featuring houndstooth:

Wool Houndstooth Coat from Fredflare.com

Houndstooth scarf, Wet seal

Houndstooth rain boots, Target (Totally awesome!)

What do you think of the houndstooth pattern in fashion?  Do you like houndstooth in general?
