I’m thinking of taking a short hiatus from this website. I promise I’m not just getting lazy, but in fact I am moving, NEXT week and I’m sure anyone who has moved in their life, which is mostly everyone, can empathize. I’m not just moving across town or anything, but across the country. Again I do apoligize to anyone who actually reads this site. Once I return, however, I’m going to really try to be a better blogger. Once I settle in again I will have more time to devote to it. Well, homework and moving preparations call. I hope everyone has a fun Halloween. I will return!

I apoligize for the absence, really I do.  It was not intentional at all to totally desert this blog, but I have been especially busy as of late with travel preparations, tests and just generally life.

The more days seemed to go by, the harder it seemed to update. UGH! I love blogging, but sometimes it just has to take a backseat.  I’m trying to get back into the swing of things.

Sorry for the absence. I have a valid reason this time though! A few days ago my only computer (a laptop) decided it didn’t want to connect to the Internet, despite nothing being wrong with the connection itself. It’s apparently fixed and I will hopefully be getting it back today. In the meantime, I dragged out my old desktop but I can’t do much on it as everything is on my laptop.

Anyway, that’s what has been going on. Regular posting will resume asap!

So as you can probably see, new theme!  This is a premade theme that I’ve always liked so I thought I would try it out on here.  The amount of detail and work that went into this theme both with design and function is amazing.  It’s called Dilectio and if you want to check it out for yourself, there is a link to the creator at the bottom of my site.

I did want to solely make my own layouts, even if they don’t even come close to the quality of themes like these, but unfortunately at this time I am too swamped with school to devote the needed time.  In the near future I will really try to make one though, and hopefully a little better in design than any of my previous.  Stay tuned!

A funny little side story I thought I’d share.. After I uploaded this theme and activated it,  I went to my site to see, of course, how it looked and everything.  Despite refreshing, reloading, clearing the cache and restarting Firefox multiple times I still could not see the theme, only my old theme.  I was in WTF?! mode for a good many minutes.  Why would the theme show in Internet Explorer, but not Firefox? It turned out I had the theme test drive plugin enabled to show my previous theme the whole time.  It was a major DUH! moment.  I really wonder sometimes.

Anyhoo, that’s all that’s new in site news.  There is already a new version of Wordpress out, I will procrastinate with updating that for a few more days (or weeks..)

I found the time blog, I also want to tweak this theme but I can’t seem to get to it!  On top of that, Wordress needs to be updated.  I’ve set a deadline for myself on that.  Updated by this Saturday!

I’m working more then usual this week so I’ll have less time all together.  A few are those awful early morning ones, which I despise.  I would rather be working into the evening then have to drag myself out of bed that early.  Yuck.

Well it’s raining today so I have a good excuse to stay in all day.  The couch and a blanket is looking pretty good right now.  Go laziness!

I’m not sure if my family has term life insurance, but it sounds like a smart thing to have.
