Okay, here is where I’m at!

Yesterday night, I reinstalled the entire operating system on my laptop. Which was surprisingly easy and painless! Thankfully, it seems just starting clean has fixed the wonky connection problems and just generally helped things. It’s so nice to have a computer that hasn’t been clogged with stuff yet! Always happens eventually, though.

With the time it has taken to sort out the laptop troubles, I need to now catch up on other fun duties such as school. I really feel awful and don’t like that this site is neglected, but when things come up like this it can’t help to be put on the back burner.

I do plan to make a proper post tomorrow, with it being TGIF! Friday!

Today I have a dentist appointment, which I am really not looking forward to, at all. At least it will be over with soon.

To me, knee high boots really say “Autumn” and are the perfect way to ring in the season, by you know, diversifying your shoe portfolio.   I recently did this, and can’t wait to put them to good use, especially since now the weather is turning colder.

Dollhouse Loomy Boot (Black)

Haha, they look like something I totally WOULDN’T wear, but surprisingly I love them.  In addition to classic black, they come in brown and plum. I’m also going to feature some other great boots.

Steve Madden Tianna Boot (Blue)

I LOVE these boots.  They come in other more neutral colours, but I think this electric blue is so perfect for the type of boot, nothing else will do.

Allison Floral Rain Boots

I had to include rain boots, because in the west, Fall (and most of winter) is filled with grey, overcast, rainy days that seem to go on forever!  I love this boot’s adorable, handdrawn look and pretty colours.  It would definitely brighten up a rainy day!

Here’s a change - I’ve actually been a role lately! I’ve been consistently chipping away at various assignments, and I’m happy to say I am on the brink of completing 3 major courses.  It’s about time!  With that said, I am taking on new courses.  It won’t slow down for quite a while but that’s the nature of academia. Hah.

Hmm..site news.. searching for a new Wordpress layout that is as functional as this one.  Anyone have any recommendations?

I can’t not acknowledge the importance of this day.  It was 7 years ago today that not only changed the United States, but the world.  We sure feel it here as well.

I can’t pretend to say I even begin the understand the devastation and significance of what happened on September 11th, 2001.  When I think of how many people lost their lives, I actually get dizzy trying to understand it.  Because it’s incomprehensible how many innocent people are gone.

This anniversary is just another day, a marker of the time that has passed, simply labeled 7 years to this day.  But really the effects of that day are felt every day, in almost every daily occurrence.   These effects seem so unimportant compared to the devastation of losing lives, but they are present all the same.  The economy, the sense of shattered security, the uncertainty of the future.  We don’t feel safe anymore, and that is really sad.  Completely understandable, but sad all the same.

As I said, I can’t even begin to understand the devastation of that day, but I do understand the importance of remembering.  A simple thing such as a anniversary helps bring people together and remember.

Rest in peace.

Wow is all I can say at the recent influx of visitors/hits to my site.  To users coming from Stumbleupon, WELCOME and THANKS!  Gawd, I love StumbleUpon.  Also a thank you to those who Stumble my FFF column.  I’m already planning this week’s find, and I can promise it shall be grand.

Anyway, as usual I’m swamped with school work.  I have to work later on today, and other then that I’m going to clean and organize.  Fun, fun!

I will say.. I currently have another blog in the works.  This blog will be more personal in nature, whereas this blog is devoted more to my niches(?).  It will be ready to debut in October sometime, but I will not link to it publicly here.  If you would like to know it, you will.  More info later!
